| The National Committee
for Missing & POWs Affairs (NCMPA) was established on August 15, 1992 and is headed by Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah and consists of fifteen other members. The main objectives of this committee are to achieve the following: Follow up in release of all Kuwaiti POWs & Missing Persons being held in Iraq against their will Take necessary actions to ensure the safety & human rights of all the POWs and Missing Persons based on International laws in accordance with the Ministry of foreign affairs and other International organizations Provide support and aid to the families of the POWs and Missing Persons by fulfilling most of their needs and requirements The National Committee for Missing & POW's Affairs' main task is to raise awareness around the world of Kuwait's POW Issue.
